Artists wanted for "The Gift of Art" show

Post Date:November 07, 2025
Lewisville Grand Theater invites artists to submit their works for consideration for its annual exhibition and marketplace, The Gift of Art. This holiday art sale exhibit is intended to encourage shoppers to purchase works by local artists.

Artists wanting to exhibit/sell art in The Gift of Art may submit up to three pieces for consideration. The number of pieces permitted per artist will be determined by the total number of submissions and available gallery space. All types of art will be considered.

The submission deadline is Sunday, Nov. 16, at11:59 p.m.

The size limit for 2D works is 16x20 inches. 3D works will be considered on the basis of space and must be no taller than 16 inches. All 2D works must have wire installed on the back at the time of intake, so that it can be hung. Submissions of jewelry and other wearables are allowed. Please note, accepted pieces may be housed in a non-locking case.

Artworks of all price points will be considered but past Gift of Art Exhibitions have seen the most sales in works priced under $300.

Artists do not need to be affiliated with an art group to participate in this show. Groups with which artists are affiliated will be noted on each wall label if that information is shared on the submission form. Artists need not be residents of Lewisville to participate.

The Gift of Art sale and exhibition opens on Saturday, Dec. 6. An artists’ reception will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, 4-6 p.m., in the Art Gallery, during the City of Lewisville’s Old Town Holiday Stroll event. The Gift of Art show will run through Sunday, Dec. 21, at Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.
